    Very Rare medal from the period of life of composer Richard Wagner ( 1813 - 1883 )
    - issued in 1876 with the occasion of the inauguration of Bayreuth Festspielhaus
    • In 1871, Wagner decided to move to Bayreuth, which was to be the location of his new opera house. The Bayreuth Festspielhaus ("Festival Theatre") that was built with the effort of Wagner opened in 1876.
