VINTAGE DUBL HANDI WASH BOARD for Hosiery Columbus Wash Board Co 18” x 8 1/2"

Description

This is a vintage DUBL HANDI portable washboard suitable for hosiery, silks, and panty hose. Vintage wooden and metal wash board was made by the Columbus Washboard Co., Columbus, Ohio. This old portable washboard measures 18" long and is 8 1/2" wide. Has red and black printing and graphics; most legible and quite clear. Metal/tin washing surface has minor surface rust and some age-related vintage darkening but has no holes, excessive rust, broken areas, etc. "Legs" on side with the DUBL HANDI name has some scratching/pitting; almost as if it rested and rubbed against something while it was used to scrub clothing (see photo #11.) This adds to its patina. This vintage piece is tight and soundly constructed; no loose joints, broken wood, jagged tin, etc. All in all, in good vintage shape for display.
